PCTFE ( Kel-F )  Material Properties Data Sheet

 

     Neoflon PCTFE (polychlorotriflouroethylene) is a melt-processible fluoropolymer with a continuous-use temperature range from -204C (-400F) up to 149C (300F).  PCTFE has high compressive strength, low deformation under load (its cold flow is lower than that of other flouropolymers), chemical and thermal stability, low gas permeability, high optical transparency, low flammability, and zero moisture absorption.  These properties make PCTFE a preferred product in applications, such as, gaskets, spacers, valve seats, bearings, sight glasses, and laboratory ware.  PCTFE's relative cost factor versus PTFE is approximately 6.25 to 1.
